Artist profile:
I was born in Vietnam during the later years of the war.
I witnessed the fall of Saigon and the emergence of a new regime. My
family & I left the country and came to the USA as boat refugees during the
late 70’s through early 80’s. I grew up in Southern California and
have remained here since.
I studied science in school and received a
Bachelor’s Degree in Zoology for my love of nature and animals. However, my
true passion is in the arts. When I was young, I enjoyed drawing and
watercolor painting during my leisure time. I became fascinated
with gemstones for their colors and unique properties and began collecting
and studying since high school. I now create jewelry pieces using
colored gemstones to express my passion for colors and the arts.
All of my works are my original designs. I
only use natural gemstones and silver. Each piece is meant for wear and to
be passed on as heirloom jewelry. The pieces shown here are examples
of some of the work I did, but I can custom make any piece to your desired
specifications with your choice of colors/gemstones (subject to availability
